Elizabeth Ann Hickman

HICKMAN, Elizabeth Ann (MacDonald) – Passed away peacefully at the Alexander Marine Hospital, Goderich, in the early morning of September 26, 2025. “Liz” was the beloved wife of the late Richard for 59 years. She was a cherished Mother to Todd (Heather) and Christy Alcock (Mike), and loving “Amma” to Bryn (Jessica), Brock (Lisa), Elizabeth (Andy) and Michaela. She was predeceased by her sister Marie Bergsma and brother John MacDonald (Lee).
Liz was a proud, mature graduate from McMaster University, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree. She loved the many miles her and Richard travelled together, experiencing new and exciting adventures. At home, her love was her four grandchildren. She was the biggest cheerleader in the stands at hockey, and ringette games, rugby, theatre performances, Christmas concerts, and the many dance recitals.
Liz will be remembered for her soft-spoken kindness, love of animals and her giving nature. She was a friend to those her knew her and will be missed by all.
Cremation has taken place and arrangements are entrusted to the FERRIS FUNERAL HOME, 214 Norfolk St. S., Simcoe (519-426-1314). A private service will follow in the near future.
