Douglas Jerome Hallman

HALLMAN, Douglas Jerome — of Port Dover, passed away peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital on Thursday, September 4, 2025, in his 75th year.
Beloved husband of Janice Holst for over 39 years. Loving father of Steven (Alanna) Hallman of Cambridge and Melissa (Wayne) Benjamin of Waterloo. Cherished grandfather of Matthew, Charles, and Willow. Dear brother of Gary Hallman (Julie Mackie) of Kincardine and Jean Waechter (Joe) of Bright. Fondly remembered by his niece and nephew, Christa and Andrew.
Doug was predeceased by his parents Louis and Veronica Hallman, sister Carol Hallman, and grandson Jaden Hallman.
Following his retirement from Schneider Meats in Kitchener after 40 years of dedicated service, Doug and Janice relocated from New Hamburg to Port Dover. A devoted Blue Jays fan and avid golfer, Doug also enjoyed baking and treasured the family’s annual cottage vacations. Above all, he found his greatest joy in time spent with family.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honour Doug’s life at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover, 519-583-1530, on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. For those wishing, donations to the Canadian Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.
