The Scottish poet Robert Burns famously wrote that “the best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry.” For the Maple Leaf, the current Canada Post strike is an example of what Burns was talking about. Despite our best plans, the regular way we distribute papers is disrupted, and we need another way to reach you.
During this postal strike, subscribers have several options.
- Printed copies of the paper are available for free pick up at Port Dover Maple Leaf office in downtown Port Dover at 351 Main Street, Port Dover. We are open from 8:30 am to 6 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
- The paper is available to read online at www.PortDoverMapleLeaf.com in the same format as the printed edition.
- Sign up to have the paper emailed to your inbox each week. Start that free service by sending an email to news@portdovermapleleaf.com or call us at 519-583-0112.
- Papers will be available in stores, as usual. We know many of you prefer to read the news in the traditional printed format, and we’re doing what we can to make that possible.
Thank you.
Thank you for your continued support of the Maple Leaf, local news and all our local businesses during this postal strike. Although circumstances such as these create challenges, it’s comforting to know we can always rely on our readers’ loyalty. Thank you.
