DOSSER, Elizabeth. Suddenly at Norfolk General Hospital on Wednesday, November 20, 2013. Elizabeth Dosser of Port Dover in her 86th year. Beloved wife of Ernie Dosser and predeceased by her first husband Harold Lottridge. Loving mother of Charles (and Audrey) Lottridge, Nancy (and Clyde) Graham, Margaret (and Bert) Kramer, stepchildren, Dorothy Alting, Deretta (and Russ) Meade, Donna (and Bill) Gable, Bill (and Tammy) Loder, Darlene (and Robert) Davis. Cherished Grandma of 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, and 3 step-great-grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Jean Lemery. Elizabeth will also be missed by nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by brothers Ken Lemery, Charles (and Doris) Lemery. Don Knechtel
KNECHTEL, Donald James. Passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie at the age of 80. Formerly of Port Dover, Ontario born in Listowel, Ontario. Son of the late Elva and Clifford Knechtel. With great sadness Don will be missed by his wife Alice of 58 years, daughter Robin (Tom) Strachan of Barrie, sons Todd (Patti) of Delhi, and Kent (Janet) of Aylmer. Loving grandfather of Jenohn (Michael), Melanie (Francois), Troy, Tyler, Jessica, and Nick. Also survived by his great-grandchildren Anjelica, Alexia, Aidan, Sophia, and Olivier. He will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters; and many close friends, especially Johnny and Greg. As per Don’s wishes, a private service will be held as cremation has taken place. LOSHAW, Guthrie Stuart “Gus” of Port Dover passed away after a brief illness at Norfolk General Hospital Simcoe on November 23, 2013 in his 82nd year. Loved brother and brother-in-law of David (Deanna) and Eleanor all of Port Dover. Proud uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by his parents William and Phyllis, brothers Jack, and Elmer, sister-in-law Bernice and brother-in-law Jack Luton. Guthrie loved gardening and his green thumb could attest to that. Robin McFarlane
McFARLANE, Robin of Port Dover passed away surrounded by the love of her family at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, Hamilton on November 24, 2013 in her 55th year. Dearly loved mother of Rebecca and Amanda. Proud daughter of Verna Watkinson, and loving step-daughter of Florence Watkinson. Cherished sister and sister-in-law of Richard and Joanne Watkinson of Belleville. Will be lovingly remembered by Craig, Jo-Anne and best friend Patty Stanley. Predeceased by her father Charles “Chuck” Watkinson and sister Raye-Ellen. Robin loved the water and boating; she was the first female to serve as Commodore of the Port Dover Yacht Club and loved crossing the pond for the “Dover Days in Erie”. She will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her. Joe Clark
CLARK – Mr. Joseph Clark formerly of LaSalette and Delhi passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side at the Sunnybrook Health Science Centre, Toronto on Saturday, November 9, 2013 in his 89th year. Joe taught Geography at both Delhi District Secondary School and Valley Heights Secondary School. He was passionate about travelling and defending the environment. Beloved husband of Jacqueline (Yerex) Clark. Loving father of Carrie Clark (Michael), Toronto, Beth Clark, Kingston and Hugh Clark (Denise), Guelph. Cherished grandfather of Jacob, Sarah, Andrew (Brandi), Erin, Christopher, Liam and Wynne. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and in-laws. Predeceased by his brother, Robert Clark (May) and by his sister, Mary Frances Bergen (Len). As per Joe’s Final Wish, his earthly remains were bequeathed to the University of Western Ontario, London as a teacher for the betterment of mankind. DOHERTY, Bernard “Ben” of Port Dover, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Norfolk General Hospital in his 83rd year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Ilene (2010). Cherished father and father-in-law of Bob (Dorothea) of Port Dover, Brian (Lori) of Port Dover, Scott (Shirley) of Dundas and Kathy of Port Dover. Loving grandfather of Amy, Chris, Jennifer, Matthew, Kayla and Blair, and great-grandfather of Emily and Owen. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Albert and Pauline Robertson of Dundas. Ben was predeceased by numerous sisters and brothers. Ben was a charter life member of the Port Dover Kinsmen Club and a retired employee of Stelco. MACAULAY, Diane Elizabeth of Port Dover left to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 3, 2013 in her 69th year. Loving wife and best friend of 48 years to John. Cherished and devoted mother of Janet who was the light of her life. Dearly loved sister and sister-in-law of Donald (Verna) Grant of Orillia, Terry (Laureen) Grant of Wasaga Beach, Judith (Frank) Hartman of Regina, Cheryl (Jeff) Myke of Corinth, Jean Elliot, Donald Macaulay, Gordon Macaulay and Rose. Sister by choice and love to Sharon and Ron Bush and “second mom” to Roxanne and Keith. Loving godmother to Lauren and Meg Chalmers. Diane is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Thelma and brother Garry. Diane was a long standing member of Knox Presbyterian Church; her greatest joys in life were family and friends; all of whom she cherished and all were blessed to have her in their lives. This world was a better place because Diane was in it and she leaves all who knew and loved her with precious memories that will help mend our saddened hearts.
