Lana D’Achilla
D’ACHILLA, Lana. It is with great sadness that the family of Lana D’Achilla announce her passing on June 15, 2013 in her 68th year. Beloved mother of Randy (Karen) and Angela (Ross). Survived by her mother (Blanche) and her brother (Doug). Grandchildren Ashley and Daniel. Will be missed by her cousins, nephews and many friends. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Lana’s life will take place at her home on Saturday, July 6, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Kelly Huff
HUFF, Frances Caroline “Kelly”. It is with much sadness and great love the family of Kelly Huff (nee Cassel) announces her peaceful passing on Friday June 21, 2013, in her 97th year at Parkview Meadows, Townsend. Loving wife of the late Robert Huff (1982). Kelly was the last surviving member of her family. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Kathy and Jack Hodgson, Port Dover and Bob and Cathy Huff of Alberta and Lyndell Angus of Brantford. Proud grandma and “old grandma” of Kelly and Wayne (Kate and Ian), Jacquie and Kevin (Ethan, Owen and Blair), Bob and Tracy (Aimee and Andrew), Wayne and Shaelyn (Tayten, Tyler and Ethan), Jennifer and Chris (Kendall and Chayce) and Paul and Heather. Kelly’s life was spent doing what she did best … being a wonderful mother, grandmother, homemaker and baker. Friends will be received at the Dennis Toll Funeral Home, 55 Charing Cross Street Brantford on Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 12 – 1 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at 1 p.m. Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery. A heartfelt thank you to the staff of Parkview Meadows for all of their compassionate care. Malcolm George
GEORGE, Malcolm. Passed away peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton, with family by his side on Thursday, June 13, 2013 in his 79th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Margaret for 58 years. Loving father of Gary and Beverly (Paul Terpou). Grandpa will be truly missed by his grandchildren, Braeden and Melissa. Cremation has taken place. A private celebration of Malcolm’s life will be held at a later date.

Leslie Ferris
FERRIS, Leslie George of Port Dover, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Norfolk General Hospital in his 92nd year. Predeceased by his wife Sarah (1998). Much loved father and father-in-law of Kenneth and Beverley Ferris of Coldwater, Patricia and Howard King of Smithville, June and John Tweedie of Port Dover and Debra and Roney Reid of Berwyn, AB. Dearly loved grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of fifteen. Predeceased by his brothers, Gilbert and Frederick and sister, Dorothy. Les was a veteran of World War II Royal Canadian Artillery. Friends were invited to meet with the family for visitation on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519-583-1530), followed by a graveside service at Port Dover Cemetery. John Ogilvie
OGILVIE, John William — passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in his 67th year. Dear father of Quin Ogilvie of Lindsay. Loving brother of Angela Whitehead (Jay) of Walsingham, Theresa Ogilvie of Simcoe, Richard of Simcoe, Keith of London, Gary (Darlean) of Ingersoll, Robert (Angela) of Rodney, and James “Jay” of Simcoe. A private family graveside interment was held at Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford. Arrangements entrusted to the Jason Smith Funeral Chapel, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe. Douglas Porter
PORTER, Douglas Milton of Port Dover passed away at Dover Cliffs Long Term Care on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in his 87th year. Beloved husband and best friend to Marjorie (Field) for 64 years. Cherished father and father-in-law of Carol, Rick, Cathy (Don Maxwell), Delos (Laura) and Diane. Proud and loving grandfather of Brennan (Heather), Nathan (Katie) and Josh Maxwell, Tasha (Phil Dragstra), Nick, Stacey and Stephanie Porter, great-grandfather of Robbie Maxwell. Doug will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son David, parents Milton and Nora (Hellyer), brother, Neil and his wife (Hazel) and sister Jean. He was a long time friend of the late Bill and Dorothy Barker. Doug was a lifelong farmer and lumberman, and together with his brother Neil, built the Dover Dairy Bar. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Simcoe for almost 60 years.  Friends were invited to meet with the family to share their memories of Doug on Friday, June 14, 2013, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519-583-1530).  A Service to Celebrate Doug’s life was held Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel. Gordon Walker
WALKER, Gordon Ernest, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2013, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer, at Norfolk General Hospital in his 69th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Gloria (August 2012). Cherished father and father-in-law of Marcia and Steve Bartlett of Simcoe, Rick and Lisa Walker of Port Dover and Bill Walker of B.C. Loving grandfather to Savannah and Matt LeBlanc, Christopher Bartlett and Jessica Barker, Hayden and Raine Walker, Addy and Seth Walker, Taigan and Matt Bombay and Tyler Walters, great-grandpa to Parker and Bradley LeBlanc and Bennett Bombay. “Hoop Iron” Gord will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by sisters Barb, Sue, Florence, Pat and brothers Harry and Murray, with special mention to “Aunt Pat” for her time, love, care and dedication. Gord was a lifetime fisherman and captain of the HH Misner and the BB Miller. Predeceased by his parents Ken and Iva Walker, brother, Jim and sister, Shirley. Dorothy Kelly
KELLY, Dorothy May (Johnson), of Gravenhurst, formerly of Cambridge and Port Dover passed away in her 93rd year at James Street Place Retirement Residence in Bracebridge.  Dorothy was born in Cambridge, the daughter of the late Levi and Charlotte Johnson. She was married to the late Pat Kelly (2003) in 1941. Loving mother of Charlotte and son-in-law Ron Cooley. Cherished grandmother of Kelly Forster of Newmarket, Kimberly Racicot of Kingston, and Kristine Racicot of Ottawa. Great-grandmother of Carolyn and Jack Forster. Dorothy was predeceased by four sisters and four brothers.  Survived by one brother, Gordon Johnson of Port Dover.
