Geoff Wall
WALL, Geoffrey David Gerald “Duke”. It is with a broken heart we announce the passing of our beloved husband, daddy, son, brother and uncle surrounded by the love of his family on Thursday, December 10, 2015 in his 42nd year. Geoff leaves to grieve hard his devoted, loving wife Krystal (Leavey), his precious son Emerson Sidney, parents David and Susie (Cuerrier), sister Lindsay, niece Adilyn, in-laws Deb and Ian Robb and Duane (Judy) Leavey, brother-in-law Matt Leavey and fiancé Ashenza, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Duke will always walk proud with the St. Andrew Street Posse, and his many dear friends. Geoff was a devoted sports fan to his beloved Penguins, Blue Jays, Mets, and Saints. Geoff was also an avid Star Wars fan and loved the “Boss” Bruce Springsteen. His legacy will live on, and he will be remembered by all whose lives he touched. In keeping with Geoff’s wishes cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to share their memories of Geoff with family on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Port Dover Community Centre. Arrangements have been entrusted to Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519-583-1530). For those wishing, donations can be made to the Juravinski Cancer Centre or the Cancer Support and Research Program. In Lieu of flowers an education fund has been created for Emerson, anyone wishing to donate to this fund please contact the Thompson Waters Funeral Home. Donald Misner
MISNER, Donald Hubert passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Dover Cliffs LTC in his 82nd year. Dear husband of Bertha. Loving father of Nancy of Peterborough, Peter (Cindy Bartlett) of Port Dover, and Ellen (Jim McMahon) of Bowen Island BC. Proud grandfather of Jody, Paul, Leigh, Sarah, Dayna, Ethan and Kyle. Fondly remembered by his sister Florence and sisters-in-law Thelma and Eleanor. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Olive, brothers James Henry his wife Mildred, Elmer his wife Janet, Jack his wife Jenn, Charles, Robert and his wife Muriel, sisters Margaret, Laurel Ballantyne and her husband Bill, and brother-in-law Chuck Watkinson. Don was born in Port Dover and spent his life there, both as a fisherman and then alongside his family in every aspect of the family fishing and seafood processing company. Don’s love and devotion to his family and passion for his life’s work were the attributes of this man. He was strong, very kind, and possessed a brilliant sense of humour. Don was an avid baseball fan and was a member of the Ontario Baseball Association Junior C Champion team in 1952. A Celebration of Life Service was held in Don’s memory on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 11a.m. at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, (corners of Market and St. George Streets) Port Dover. Officiated by Father Kendall Reimer. Arrangements entrusted to Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519-583-1530). POST, Frederick Roy. May 17, 1924 – December 14, 2015. Royal Canadian Navy Veteran. Peacefully, in his sleep at Parkwood Institute, London ON. Predeceased by his wife Annikki. Survived by daughter Donna Goldstraw (Glenn), son Rick Post (Mary) and grandchildren, Nathan Post (Melina) and Meaghan Goldstraw; also, great-grandchildren Patrick, Dylan and Hailey Post. Survived as well by brothers Tom and Keith Post. Cremation has taken place. His life will be celebrated at the Port Dover Legion on Sunday, January 31st 2016, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, Hugh Allan Branch 158, 212 Market St. E. Port Dover N0A 1N0 would be appreciated.

ROBICHEAU, Aaron James passed away suddenly on Monday, December 7, 2015 in his 62nd year. Loving father of Jason and Chris both of Alberta. Loving brother of Sharon Amiro of Burlington and Gary (Louisa) Robicheau of Sudbury; step-brother of Leonard (Lizette) Cardinal of Hanmer. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Patricia, grandparents John and Melvina Amiro, stepmother Georgette Cardinal and stepbrothers Roger and Reginald Cardinal. Aaron will also be fondly remembered by his many brothers and sisters-in law, nieces, nephews and ex-wife Colette. In keeping with Aaron’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in Aaron’s memory on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Port Dover Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #158. FELKER, Evelyn Myrtle (nee Jacobs) passed away peacefully on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Anson Place Care Centre Hagersville. Dear mother of John (Reb), (Jacqueline Johansen) of Port Dover. Loving grandmother of Jason, Quinn, Russell, Susan and Christine. Predeceased by her parents Ellis and Myrtle, daughter Sheila Ellis and her husband Ron, brother Ross and his wife Kathleen and grandson Dean. Evelyn loved everything about horticulture; plants, trees, flowers, she enjoyed them all. THOMPSON, Lola Doreen (nee Thompson) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in her 91st year. Dear mother of David (Sheree Crossman) of Port Dover, Terry of Panama, Donna (Richard) Vank of Courtland, Diane Davison of Port Dover and honourary stepson Larry Bibeault. Loving grandmother of Natasha, Chantale, Levi, Shaundra, Ryan, Ronnie, Tara, Athena and their spouses. Also proud great-grandmother of 15. Predeceased by her husband Donovan (1972), parents Charles and Clarissa, siblings Albert and wife Mabel, and Elva Reichheld and her husband Earl. Lola was a member of Silver Lake Rebekah Lodge #150 for over 70 years and a member of Grace United Church, the UCW and proud volunteer for over 50 years. She enjoyed reading tea leaves and being with family. Friends were invited to share their memories of Lola with family on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Thompson Waters Funeral Home, First Ave., Port Dover (519-583-1530) followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Rev. Lois Webster
WEBSTER, Lois Ann (nee Miller), passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, BC in her 73rd year. She is survived by family and many friends in Ontario and BC. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Robert Webster and missed by her sweet dog Charlie. She is also remembered by her first husband Robert Brown. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Lorrie Oystryk (George) and her son Scott Brown, her two grandchildren Abbey and Jack, and their mom Melissa Kaske. She holds a special place in the heart of her brother John Miller (Cindy) and their daughter Logan. Lois is predeceased by her parents Harold and Evelyn Miller (nee Roop). Lois was fun loving and positive in her approach to life. She had fond memories of working at The Long Point Bird Observatory. She loved nature and travel and she was always smiling and laughing. Even when cancer was cruel to her body, her positive spirit remained full of love. A private celebration of life will be held by immediate family members.
