Nancy Clark
CLARK, Nancy Mae – At her residence on Monday, April 14, 2014. Survived by husband Neil of Peterborough, daughter Lianne (Kyle) of Kelowna, B.C, son Chris (Leone) of Peterborough, predeceased by Victoria and Michael infant twins. Parents Verna and the late James Lindsay of Nanticoke, brother Leonard (predeceased), sisters Susan (Lyle) of Selkirk, Sandra of Nanticoke, Helen (Dwight) of Port Dover and many nieces and nephews. After a brief illness and stay at the PRHC, Palliative Care Unit, Nancy went home to pass with pain management and in the comfort of home and surrounded by family and friends, loved ones and working companions. Nancy enjoyed that precious time. Nancy was a legal assistant from 1965 – 2012, over 40 years, with Harrison and Elwood in London, Standish and Burgess, John Corkery Q.C., Peterborough and Lillico, Bazuk, Kent, Galloway when she retired in 2012. Many thanks to the P.R.H.C. staff, V.O.N. and Home Care for tending to Nancy’s needs and concerns. Elizabeth Manley for corresponding and visiting Nancy. These kind and thoughtful gestures were truly golden to her. Marg who helped Nancy and continues to do so with all the details that are required to be completed. Patsy who raised the bar. And again the family much appreciated all your kindness and thoughtfulness. Nancy even challenged by this illness continued to put others ahead of herself, asking about her mom and kids. Always concerned about the welfare of others, always the first to help. Cremation has taken place and, as Nancy wished, ceremonies of life will take place in both Peterborough and Nanticoke at a later date. Interment to be at the family plot in London. Herbert Overbury

Phyllis Overbury
OVERBURY – The family of Herbert (Bud) and Phyllis (nee Rose) Overbury sadly announce the passing of their beloved parents on April 5th and 8th respectively. Herbert, after a long and debilitating illness passed away peacefully at Norview Lodge on April 5th, 2014 with his beloved wife Phyllis and children at his side. Survived by brothers Ken and Douglas Overbury. Phyllis, dearest mother of Diane (Daly), Susan (Davidson), Bruce Overbury and Lynn Legault passed away suddenly at Norfolk General Hospital on April 8th, 2014. Survived by dearest sister Barbara and brother Ronald. Cherished grandparents of seven and devoted great-grandparents of nine. The Family would like to express their deep appreciation for the excellent care given by the staff at Norview Lodge and for the love and many kindnesses from friends and family across Ontario and Quebec. A Memorial Service to celebrate the lives of our beloved Parents will be held at a date to be determined at St. Andrew’s United Church in Williamstown, ON.

George Battison
BATTISON, George. At Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Saturday, April 12, 2014, George Battison of Simcoe in his 89th year. Husband of the late Macie Marie Battison. Dear father of Ian Battison (Patrice), Jean Maskell (Gordon) and Marie Van Every (the late Curt). Also survived by nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two brothers and one sister in Scotland. Faithful member of Latter Day Saints congregation for many years. Friends were invited to call at The Ferris Funeral Home, 214 Norfolk St., S., Simcoe on Monday, April 14, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day, Victoria St., Simcoe on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Port Dover Cemetery. Wayne McClung
McCLUNG, Wayne. Passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014 in his 66th year. Son of the late Fraser and Agnes McClung. Survived by his wife Maureen, daughter Erin (Scott) Taylor and son Jonathan (Katie), grandchildren Lindsay, Ben and Ryan. Also survived by Brian and Vicki McClung of Port Dover, Gordon and Pearl McClung of Burlington, Richard and Jeanie McClung of Canandaigua, N.Y. Funeral service at St. Ambrose Church, Cambridge, Ontario. For those wishing, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of their choice would be much appreciated.

Lino Colautti
COLAUTTI, Lino Egidio, 72, of Port Dover passed away after a brief illness surrounded by the love of his family on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener.  Born and raised in Windsor, he is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Judy, his children Amy and Karen both of Port Dover and sister Rita Infanti of Windsor, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Luigi and Maria, sister Antoinette, her husband Rino Dean and brother-in-law Marco Infanti. Lino was a proud retired Heavy Equipment Operator at OPG and a talented craftsman and woodworker and enjoyed his garden, home and dogs. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed. Friends are invited to meet with family to share their memories of Lino on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 102 First Ave., Port Dover, (519-583-1530). Gary Heddle
Heddle, Gary Malcolm Stewart. Peacefully at St Joseph’s Hospital, on Friday, April 4, 2014, in his 73rd year. Loving son of Richard and Gertrude Heddle. Loving father of Richard (Donna), Sheryl (Calvin), and Elisha (Robert). Loving Grandpa of Mathew, Eric, Aaron, Jason, Jessika, Bryan, Mitchell, and Madison. A special thank you to Dr. Ingram at St Joseph’s Hospital for his compassion and his care. In keeping with Gary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Road E., Hamilton (905-574-0405) on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m., when a funeral service will follow in the Bay Gardens Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be appreciated by the Heddle family.

Agnes Reid
REID, Agnes of Lansing Michigan, passed away on April 3, 2014 in her 86th year. Agnes is survived by her son Ron and his wife Jan, granddaughters Cheryl Samuel and Kim Reid, great-granddaughter Hadley and sister Lillian and her husband Alvin. Predeceased by her husband Darrell and his parents Hazen and Doris Reid. A Memorial Service to be held later.

Jack Bingleman
October 8, 1939 – March 28, 2014
BINGLEMAN, Jack – Passed away peacefully on March 28, 2014 at the home of his daughter after a valiant battle with cancer. Mr. Jack Bingleman of Vittoria in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Helen (Chapman) Bingleman. Dear brother of Frances (Bingleman) Winter (late Alan) of Vittoria. Loving father of Greg Bingleman (Lisa) of Port Dover, Susie (Bingleman) Welsh of Vittoria, and Barb (Bingleman) Galuppi (Eddie) of Port Dover. Cherished grandpa “papa” to Joshua and Jordan Bingleman, Ethan and Aidan Galuppi. Predeceased by his parents Knisley and Audrey (Osborn) Bingleman. Jack will be fondly remembered also by his brothers- and sisters-in-law, his nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbours. Friends were invited to visit at the Ferris Funeral Home, 214 Norfolk St. S., Simcoe on Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 1 – 4 p.m. where his funeral service was held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Marc Bertrand officiating. Interment Vittoria Baptist Cemetery. A special thank you for all of the support from the CCAC, nurses at CBI Home Health, palliative team at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre, and support workers from St. Elizabeth Health Care Centre. Bob Dewbury
May 22, 1953 – March 20, 2014
DEWBURY, Robert – Bob passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 20, 2014 with family and friends by his side after a short but hard struggle with esophagus cancer. We can only believe that Maggie was waiting for Bob so he could help her to brighten up the Heavens “Together Forever”. Bob is survived by his mom and dad, Bob and Doris Dewbury; his two brothers, Larry and Kelly and their families; his sister Darlene and her family; his two daughters Teresa and Kim and their families; his step-son Rick and his family; and his sister-in-law Linda and her family. There will be a celebration of Bob’s life to take place at Port Dover Legion on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 2 p.m. Family and friends would like to extend a special thanks to CCAC for all the support and kindness they have shown. For those wishing, donations to the Children’s Make a Wish Foundation, “where every child deserves to smile”, would be appreciated.
