DOUEL, Robert William “Olde blue eyes” Passed away at Delhi Long Term Care Nursing Home on Thursday, June 4, 2015 in his 90th year. Son of the late Albert and Emily Douel and much beloved husband of 61 years of Raymonda (Cloet). Loving father of Michael (Pam), Georgette Atkins (Tim), John (Carole) and Patricia (Robert Lee), cherished grandfather of seven and great-grandfather of four. Also surviving is his brother-in-law Bill Wright, Australia and several nieces and nephews in Quebec and Australia. Robert served with The Merchant Marines and then The Royal Canadian Navy aboard the frigate, H.M.C.S. Meon during W.W.II and later participated for many years with the Reserves at The Simcoe Armories. He was a tobacco farmer until retirement in 1990, he also enjoyed woodworking, hooking rugs and wall hangings and doing anything mechanical. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. All funeral arrangements are private with interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery at a later date. The Baldock Funeral Home, 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe in care of arrangements. KITCHEN, Jane “Carol” (nee Dines) passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Brantford General Hospital in her 84th year. Dear mother of Michael (Natalie) of Port Dover, and mother-in-law of Sophie of Port Stanley. Loving grandmother of Amie (Mike), Jody, Zachary, Jayne, Conor, Charles and Justin. Great-grandmother of McKenna. Fondly remembered by her brother Gary (Barbara) Dines of Waterloo and sister Janice Lee Roth of Kincardine. Predeceased by her husband Charles, son Geoffrey, parents George and Imogene, and brother-in-law Marshall. A Service to Celebrate Carol’s life was held Monday, June 15, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 102 First Ave., Port Dover, 519-583-1530.
