BARTLETT, Paul William (Bill) – Peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital on Friday, July 26, 2019 in his 85th year. Loving husband of Maureen. Dear father of Lisa (Pat Egan) Bartlett and Paul Bartlett. Cherished grandfather of John (Denisse) Dalrymple, Lauren Bartlett and Lainey (Ryan) Jaspers-Fayer. Also survived by his sister Jean (Bill) Kearley. Cremation has taken place. John Wilson
WILSON, John Douglas of Port Dover, passed away at Norfolk General Hospital on Monday, July 22, 2019 in his 65th year. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. HOOVER, Kathleen Vera “Kathy” of Port Dover, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at St. Joseph’s Life Care, Brantford on Thursday, July 18, 2019 in her 82nd year. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Rob and Mardi of Ingersoll, Kevin of Port Dover, Debbie Hoover of Simcoe, Marilyn and Don Chapman of Port Dover and Heather and Andrew Stroud of Port Dover. Loving and proud grandmother of Monica, Jeremy (Crystal), Tanya (Shannon), Connie (Ryan), Chad (Karen), Bobbi-Jo, Tia Marie, Matthew, Logan, Connor and Corey, great-grandmother of 11 and great-great-grandmother of 1. Dear sister of Jim Adams of Simcoe. Predeceased by her parents Jim and Eva (Johnston) Adams and sister-in-law, Inda. Kathy was an active member of the Port Dover community. She was a member of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch #158 where she has served as President and Zone Commander, a member of the Port Dover Lioness, volunteered at the Lighthouse Festival Theatre and was Campaign Organizer for the Carnation Drive for MS. Kathy also enjoyed playing bingo and bowling. Friends are invited to share their memories of Kathy at visitation on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 6 to 9 p.m. with a Legion Ladies Auxiliary Service at 5:30 p.m. at Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 102 First Ave. Port Dover (519-583-1530). A Service to Celebrate Kathy’s life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church (Chapman and St. George Sts.) on Friday July 26, 2019 at 11 a.m. Inurnment at Nanticoke Cemetery. Pastor Pam Hogewoning officiating. For those wishing donations to Port Dover Lions Botanical Gardens or the Simcoe and District Humane Society would be greatly appreciated. Joyce Osborne
OSBORNE, Joyce Marie — Passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock. Joyce will be laid to rest with her parents Lorne (1978) and Mina (1994) Marshman, son Brian “Otis” (2008) and her husband of 60 plus years Louis Osborne (2018).
