Book launch and silent walk remembers First World War

Author Grant Smith, originally from Delhi, has collected profiles of 250 Norfolk residents who gave their life to serve our country in the First World War.
His new book, titled: Norfolk Remembers, The Great War 1914-1918, is on sale at all Norfolk County libraries.
Marsha Johnstone, Manager of Programming at Norfolk County Public Library reports a book launch will take place on Sunday, August 10 at the Simcoe Branch starting at 2 p.m., with a ceremony to remember these brave men and one woman.
At 3 p.m. a Silent Walk will be taken down Talbot Street to Union and to the Carillon Tower. The public is encouraged to attend.
