Thirty-three artists are participating in the 13th Annual Norfolk Studio Tour, planned for the last weekend in September. Studios are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday, the 28th and Sunday, the 29th.
Port Doverite Joanne Munzar, founder of this popular event told the Maple Leaf last week that there will be a number of new artists this year, including Jan Schooley, painter and developer of lavender products, Jeannette Muir DeMonfort, mixed media and Coleson Jefferies, carpenter.
Also, many returning artists will be showcasing new works.
In Joanne’s 33 Willowdale Cr. Studio, she will be featuring her popular pottery as well as stunning glass bead jewellery.
Carol Gerrett of Port Dover will also be located in her studio and will be exhibiting her lovely floral watercolours as well as something new this year – painted floor cloths, placemats and table runners.
Studio locations take visitors on a lovely rural tour of Norfolk County from Port Dover to Port Ryerse, to Simcoe, to Port Rowan to Waterford and many country roads inbetween.
Brochures, with a complete listing of the artists and studios, can be picked up at all participating artists’ studios, libraries, Board of Trade and more. For additional information, Joanne Munzar can be reached at 519-583-1101 or visit www.norfolkstudiotour.com
